NanoGuardian hires ex-FBI, pharma specialist
19-Jan-2009US anti-counterfeiting technology company NanoGuardian has appointed Dr. John Glover as the head of its Security Advisory Board.
Glover worked for more than 35 years with the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), before taking up the role of vice president, corporate security, at Bristol-Myers Squibb. He was a a key figure in setting up the Pharmaceutical Security Institute and also served as co-chairman of the US State Department's Overseas Security Advisory Council.
In a statement, NanoGuardian said that Glover "will advise NanoGuardian in its efforts to curb the spread of counterfeit and diverted pharmaceuticals in the supply chain."
NanoGuardian's NanoEncryption technology consists of layered overt, covert and forensic security features that can be applied directly to tablets, capsules and vial caps.
