Chinese fake drug traders receive death sentence
15-Dec-2009China has passed a death sentence on six traders found guilty of exporting fake medicines to Nigeria, according to a Times of India article.
Citing documents received from the Ministry of Commerce in Beijing, the newspaper said the traders were implicated in the notorious scandal in which Nigerian officials discovered a cache of 600,000 counterfeit malaria medicines labelled as 'Made in India' but in fact originating from China.
No further details were available from the Ministry at the time of publication.
