19-Jan-2010
Centice Corp, which makes and sells a medicine verification system called PASS Rx for use in retail and hospital pharmacies, has added to its sales team by hiring two new sales directors.
Doug Williams has a 10-year record in sales representing companies such as Sirchie Fingerprint Laboratories, Bayer HealthCare and Hallmark. Bill Reynolds has 20 years' experience in healthcare sales, previously working with Kensington Pathology Consultants, Accentia Pharmaceuticals, Biovail Pharmaceuticals, Renlar Systems and Brightstone Pharmaceutical.
Centice raised $6.1m in a financing round last October as it presses ahead with continued development of its PASS Rx system, which uses spectroscopy and machine vision sensor technologies to confirm the authenticity of pharmaceuticals.
The company is currently working on a third generation of the device - which uses spectroscopy and machine vision sensor technologies - in order to expand its use into new applications such as solid drug identification, liquid medication verification and counterfeit drug detection.
