New labeller for pharmaceutical serialisation
The new BL400XL labeller by Neri, also in VXL, TEXL and VTEXL versions, demonstrates the massive efforts made by Marchesini Group towards the theme of pharmaceutical serialisation. The machine applies track & trace codes on pharmaceutical products and also labels with various code combinations. The bonuses of the machine, which has already met great success on the international market, are numerous.
First and foremost, the machine has a balcony structure, it is ergonomic and totally accessible, which facilitates cleaning and management, plus the whole production process is visible in this way. The labeller works in steps (a feature that guarantees maximum precision in applying the label and in the final result), plus size changing is fast and precise.
Finally, this machine rejects non-conforming products and works at a very high production rate (400 cartons per minute). The high-speed VTE XL version, not only accommodates up to three labelling heads to apply a vignette on the top and two on the corners of the carton (Tamper Evident), but also prints Datamatrix codes on an impressive three positions (top face and two flaps of the carton). There is also a version for marking and controlling “flatblanks” before they are erected into boxes, to be installed off-line.
The need to securely track the history of pharmaceuticals has arisen mainly to battle against counterfeit pharmaceuticals.
